Originally, he was recognized as a three-star recruit during the 2024 recruiting cycle and committed to Alabama after showcasing his talent at Baylor School in Chattanooga.
Jefferson's freshman year at Alabama was plagued with challenges; he suffered a hip injury that sidelined him entirely, resulting in a redshirt designation without any game appearances. Now, as he prepares for his next destination, he holds three years of eligibility left. For Tennessee, the spring semester kicks off on January 21, which is relatively late compared to many other institutions across the nation. Last year, Tennessee initiated a winter mini-term that spanned the first three weeks of January, providing opportunities for students to get a head start on their coursework.
