Rani Kapoor, now 80, has taken the matter to the High Court, seeking to declare the "RK Family Trust/Rani Kapur Family Trust" fraudulent and null and void. She wants to restrain Priya Kapur from acting on the trust and obtain a full account of its activities. Rani describes herself as the matriarch of a large family, including her two daughters, her late son Sunjay, and their seven children.
The dispute intensified when Karisma Kapoor's children claimed their share of their late father's assets, sparking a complex legal battle that has reached the Supreme Court.
