Samsung is gearing up to release a security update for its Galaxy devices in March 2026, addressing 65 vulnerabilities, with the majority being high severity. This update, however, does not introduce any new software features, but rather focuses on enhancing security. Samsung has not yet announced the availability of this update on Galaxy phones, but it's expected to be separate from the upcoming One UI 8.5. Devices from previous years are likely to receive a software upgrade in reverse release order once the Galaxy S26 is launched. The timing of this upgrade will depend on when Samsung concludes the One UI 8.5 beta, which is currently on its sixth release for most regions. In the meantime, Samsung is showcasing its Privacy Display options, brighter panels, and a slidable concept at MWC 2026. Additionally, the company has confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series has an 8-bit display, following some confusion earlier. Samsung's Digital Home Key is also set to work with UWB and NFC smart locks. Stay tuned for more updates on Galaxy devices and their exciting features!
