Emergency Services Incident Causes Major Disruption on York-Leeds Train Lines
Travel plans for many York residents are in disarray this Saturday morning (January 31st). An emergency services incident between York and Leeds has led to the complete closure of all train lines.
TransPennine Express reported shortly after 9 a.m. that the emergency services are currently handling an incident in the Church Fenton area. As a result, all lines are currently blocked, causing significant disruption for commuters.
The company warned that train services passing through these stations may be canceled or significantly delayed by up to 60 minutes. The disruption is expected to persist until 11 a.m., causing inconvenience for many travelers.
TransPennine Express is actively exploring alternative options to keep passengers moving. If your train is canceled or delayed, it is advised to postpone your journey until trains resume normal service or until other travel options become available.
